2017 ESPY Awards: Every Well-Dressed Athlete You Need to See
admin • 4 months ago
If there’s one thing the 2017 ESPY Awards proved, it’s that the style of the attendees has come a long way since the show first kicked off in the early ’90s. What used to be a parade of big suits and boring tuxedos now includes every trending move in the menswear playbook, all done in slim, modern cuts. Here’s who grabbed our attention on this year’s ESPY Awards red carpet, whether by way of old-school tailoring or some DGAF athletic wear.
Classic Black Tie
Here’s proof that sticking to the dress code is a solid move. Classing it up in a proper tux, down to the bow tie and patent shoes, will never not look good.
Shades of Brown
Retro brown suits in confident-guy cuts were the night’s most solid style move. If you’re going to cop anything from the ESPYs, make it this.
The ESPYs’ biggest names skipped suits in favor of something sportier—slimmed down track pants. Dress-code-busting aside, these are some excellent, just-DGAF-enough outfits.
It’s hard to get mad at a smart gray suit, but between the wide ties and traditional patterns happening here, these two look a bit like they’re headed into a meeting.
These three swerved the hardest with their looks. While we prefer some of the more timeless moves on display, who are we to get in the way of a party?
